Tether, the issuer of the world's largest stablecoin by market capitalization, has named Bo Hines as its new Strategic Advisor for Digital Assets and U.S. Strategy. Hines, formerly the Executive Director of the White House crypto Council under President Donald Trump, will immediately begin coordinating Tether's ambitious goals, leveraging his expertise in private sector strategy, legal frameworks, and policy development.

During his tenure in the TRUMP administration, Hines played a pivotal role in shaping government-blockchain relations, establishing early regulatory guardrails for stablecoins, and fostering innovation in digital assets. He led interagency efforts to safely integrate blockchain technology into the U.S. financial system while prioritizing consumer protection.

"Bo's appointment underscores our commitment to establishing a robust U.S. presence across multiple sectors," said Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino. The move signals Tether's strategic push to expand beyond stablecoins into broader digital economy initiatives.
